If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Sibiu. Take DN1 road towards the town of Cârțișoara. After approximately 30 km, follow the signs for DN7C, which leads to Balea Lac. The road will take you through the stunning Făgăraș Mountains. Please note that DN7C is a mountain road and may be closed during winter months due to snow, so check local conditions before you go. The total driving time from Sibiu should be around 1 hour, depending on traffic and weather conditions.

To reach Balea Lac by public transportation, you can take a bus from Sibiu to Cârțișoara. Buses typically depart from the Sibiu Bus Station. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Cârțișoara, you will need to take a taxi to Balea Lac resort as public transport does not reach the resort directly. Taxis are available at the bus station. The taxi ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes and cost around 50-70 RON, depending on the taxi service.
