Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Gishwati-Mukura National Park. Take the road leading to the north towards Ruhengeri. Continue on this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction near the town of Ruhengeri. At the junction, turn right onto the road heading towards the Nyiragihima area. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you see signs directing you to Nyiragihima Caves. There may be a parking area near the caves where you can leave your car.

For those using public transportation, you can catch a local bus or a shared taxi from Gishwati-Mukura National Park to Ruhengeri. The buses operate regularly, so you should not have to wait long.
