Getting There

Walking
Starting from the center of Ruhengeri, head south on Avenue de la Révolution towards the main roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue du 1er Novembre. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 km until you reach a small junction. Turn left onto the dirt road. Follow this dirt road for about 2 km, passing through small villages and enjoying the rural scenery. You may encounter locals, so feel free to ask for directions if you're unsure. After 2 km, you will see The Rock of Kamegeri rising in the distance. Continue on the path leading towards it, and you will arrive at the site.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Ruhengeri and cycle south on Avenue de la Révolution. When you reach the main roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue du 1er Novembre. After about 1.5 km, turn left at the small junction onto the dirt road. Continue cycling along this dirt road for approximately 2 km. You will pass through local communities; keep an eye out for the signs indicating The Rock of Kamegeri. As you approach, the rock will become visible, and you can follow the path directly to the landmark.

From the main bus station in Ruhengeri, look for a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) that can take you towards The Rock of Kamegeri. Inform the driver of your destination; it is helpful to have the name written down or to show them a picture. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you are dropped off at the nearest point, you may need to walk a short distance along the dirt paths leading to the rock. Enjoy the views and ask locals for guidance if necessary.
