From the center of Castries, you can easily find a taxi at the main taxi stand located near the Castries Market. Inform the driver that you want to go to Plage des Salines in Martinique. It’s about a 45-minute ride to the ferry terminal at Pointe-à-Pitre. Ensure you agree on the fare beforehand. Once at the terminal, take the ferry to Martinique, which takes approximately 1 hour. After arriving at Martinique, take a local taxi or a bus towards 97227, Martinique. Ask the driver to drop you off at Plage des Salines.
Public Bus
To get to Plage des Salines via public transport, walk to the Castries bus terminal located near the Central Market. Look for a bus heading to the ferry terminal at Pointe-à-Pitre. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you reach the terminal, buy a ferry ticket to Martinique. After arriving in Martinique, locate the local buses or taxis that head towards the beach area. Upon arriving in Martinique, you can catch a local taxi or bus. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Plage des Salines, and they will take you directly to the beach. The taxi ride from the ferry terminal to the beach will take approximately 30 minutes.
