History of Saint Patrick

The Indigenous Kalinago People

Before European colonization, the island of Saint Vincent, including the area now known as Saint Patrick, was inhabited by the Kalinago people. They lived in harmony with nature, fishing, farming, and engaging in trade with neighboring islands. The Kalinago society was complex and organized, with a rich cultural heritage that included unique art, music, and spiritual practices.

European Encounters and Colonization
