If you're traveling by car, start from Bratislava and take the D1 highway towards Žilina. Once you reach Žilina, switch to the D3 highway towards the town of Martin. From Martin, you will follow signs for Ružomberok and then continue towards Zuberec. The Roháčske lakes are approximately a 30-minute drive from Zuberec. You can park your car at the parking area near the entrance to the hiking trail leading to the lakes. Note that parking may incur a fee, typically around €5 per day.

To reach Roháčske lakes via public transport, take a train or bus to Liptovský Mikuláš from your current location in Slovakia. From Liptovský Mikuláš, catch a bus to Zuberec. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Once in Zuberec, you can either walk (about 1 hour) or take a local taxi to the trailhead leading to the Roháčske lakes. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary, and tickets usually cost around €3-€5.
