Getting There

• Bus

  From the Cape Town city center, head to the Cape Town Civic Centre. There, you can catch the MyCiTi bus route 108, which goes directly to the Cape of Good Hope. Purchase a myconnect card from the station or a convenience store before boarding. The bus will take you through Hout Bay and along the scenic coastal route. The journey takes about 1.5 hours, and the bus will drop you off near the entrance to the park.

• Train and Bus

  Start at Cape Town Station and take the Metrorail train towards Simon's Town. Ensure you board a train on the Southern Line. The train ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Simon's Town Station, exit the station and walk to the bus stop for the MyCiTi bus route 107, which will take you to the Cape of Good Hope. The bus journey will take around 30 minutes, bringing you right to the entrance of the park.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  For a more direct route, you can use a rideshare service like Uber or Bolt. Simply open the app and set your destination to 'Cape of Good Hope' or 'Cape Point'. The drive will take approximately 1 hour from the city center, depending on traffic. This option is convenient if you prefer a quicker, more private means of transport.

• Tour Group

  Consider joining a guided tour. Many local tour companies offer day trips to the Cape of Good Hope, which typically include transportation from your hotel or a central meeting point in Cape Town. These tours often include additional stops at scenic locations such as Hout Bay, Boulders Beach (home to the African penguins), and the Cape Point lighthouse.
