Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are at the V&A Waterfront, start by heading towards the iconic Clock Tower. From the Clock Tower, walk straight along the water's edge, passing by various shops and restaurants. Continue past the Two Oceans Aquarium on your left, and keep walking until you reach the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The Old Port Captain's Building will be located just a short distance further along the waterfront on your right, near the entrance to the harbor area.

  • Public Transport (MyCiTi Bus)

    If you are further away from the waterfront, you can take the MyCiTi bus to the V&A Waterfront bus stop. Purchase a MyCiTi card at the airport or any MyCiTi station (initial cost is about R35, and you can load it with credit). Once you arrive at the V&A Waterfront bus stop, exit the bus and walk towards the Clock Tower. From there, follow the same walking directions as above to reach the Old Port Captain's Building.
