Car
To reach North Peak from any part of Royal Natal National Park by car, start by heading towards the R74 road. Follow the signs towards the park's entrance and exit through the main gate. Once you are on the R74, continue driving until you see signs for the 'Didima Camp' or 'Thukela Gorge'. Take the turnoff towards the Didima Camp. From there, continue towards Sani Pass Road, which will eventually lead you closer to North Peak. Keep following the scenic road for approximately 15 km. Be aware that you will need a 4x4 vehicle for the last stretch of the journey as the road can be rough. There may also be a small toll fee at certain junctions.

If you are using public transport, you can take a bus from major towns like Durban to the nearest town, which is Bergville. From Bergville, you can hire a taxi or arrange for a shuttle service to take you to Royal Natal National Park. Once you arrive at the park, you will need to hike to North Peak. Start from the main visitor center and follow the marked trails leading towards the Didima Valley. The hike will take approximately 5-7 hours, depending on your fitness level. Ensure you have proper hiking gear and sufficient water. Note that hiking in the area may require a permit, and it's advisable to check in advance for any associated costs.
