If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest major town, which is Lusikisiki. From Lusikisiki, take the R61 road towards the south. After approximately 25 kilometers, look for the signs directing you towards Magwa Falls. Turn onto the gravel road marked towards the 'Magwa Tea Estate'. Continue on this road for another 10 kilometers. You'll reach the entrance to the Magwa Falls area. Please note that the last stretch may require a vehicle with higher clearance due to unpaved roads. There is no entrance fee to access the falls.

To reach Magwa Falls via public transportation, take a taxi or minibus from Lusikisiki heading towards Port St. Johns. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the turn-off for the Magwa Tea Estate. This journey will take about 30-40 minutes and will cost approximately R30-40. Once you get off, you will need to walk approximately 10 kilometers to reach the falls, which may take around 2 hours. Be prepared for uneven terrain. It's advisable to carry water and wear comfortable walking shoes.
