To reach the Kanawha State Forest Shooting Range from downtown Charleston, you can take the Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority (KVRTA) bus service. Board the bus at the nearest KVRTA bus stop towards South Charleston. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the stop closest to the Range Road. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles northeast on Range Road until you reach the shooting range entrance.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in downtown Charleston. Head towards the Kanawha Boulevard and follow it south until you reach the intersection with Route 60. Continue on Route 60, then turn left onto Range Road. The shooting range is located about 2 miles down Range Road. Be cautious as you ride along the road.

Walking
If you're up for a longer walk, you can make your way to the Kanawha State Forest Shooting Range by heading south from downtown Charleston. Walk along the Kanawha Boulevard until you reach the intersection with Route 60. Turn left on Route 60 and continue walking for about 1.5 miles before turning left onto Range Road. The shooting range will be approximately 0.5 miles ahead. This journey will take about an hour, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
