If you are traveling by car from the Sea Islands, start by heading northwest on US-21 N towards Beaufort. Continue on US-21 N for about 20 miles until you reach the junction with I-95 N. Take the exit for I-95 N towards Florence. After approximately 30 miles, take exit 98 for US-601 S towards Sumter. Continue on US-601 S for about 20 miles, then turn right onto SC-48 W. Follow SC-48 W for about 15 miles until you reach Congaree National Park, located at 33.7918719 latitude and -80.7490486 longitude. There is no entrance fee for Congaree National Park, but parking is available on-site.

From here, you can catch the Greyhound or another bus service to the city of Cayce, SC, which is the closest stop to the park.
