If you are in the downtown area of Summerville, you can start your walk to the United States Custom House by heading southeast on Main Street towards Cedar Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Central Avenue. Turn right onto Central Avenue, and walk until you reach the bus stop for the Dorchester County bus which will take you to Charleston. Board the bus heading towards Charleston, and enjoy the ride. Once you arrive in downtown Charleston, disembark at the nearest stop to East Bay Street. From there, walk east on East Bay Street, and you will see the United States Custom House at 200 E Bay St on your left.
