    If you're traveling by car within Badlands National Park, head toward the Badlands Loop Road (SD-240). From the Ben Reifel Visitor Center, take SD-240 east for about 14 miles. Look for the sign indicating 'Deer Haven Trailhead' on your right. The trailhead is located at approximately latitude 43.8346521 and longitude -102.2015442 in Conata Township. There is no additional parking fee required at the trailhead, but note that there is an entrance fee for the park itself.
