If you're traveling by car, start from the Badlands National Park visitor center. Take SD-240 W (Badlands Loop Road) and head northwest. Continue on SD-240 W for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with I-90. Merge onto I-90 N and continue for about 70 miles. Take exit 284 for US-34 E towards Pierre. Follow US-34 E for about 15 miles, then take a left turn onto SD-34 E, which will lead you directly into Pierre. Continue straight and turn right onto E Dakota Ave. The South Dakota National Guard Museum will be on your right at 301 E Dakota Ave, Pierre, SD 57501. Note that parking is usually available on-site.
