    If you are starting from the South Dakota State Capitol, head north on E Capitol Ave toward N Harrison Ave. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with E 4th St. Turn left on E 4th St and walk for another 0.3 miles. You will cross over the Oahe Dam and arrive at the Approximate Geographic Center of North America, located at coordinates 44.4223504, -100.3513715.
