    From any location within Big Sioux Recreation Area, head southwest on SD-34 W. Continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach the junction with US-81 S. Merge onto US-81 S and drive for about 15 miles. Take the exit onto SD-50 W toward Yankton. Continue on SD-50 W for about 20 miles until you reach Yankton. Once in Yankton, follow signs for Chief White Crane State Recreation Area, located at 31323 Toe Rd. The area should be clearly marked, and there is ample parking available.
