Start at the Custer Visitor Center located at 515 Crook St, Custer, SD. From the Visitor Center, head east on Crook St toward 6th St. Turn left onto 6th St and continue until you reach the intersection with Mt Rushmore Rd (US-16). Cross the road and proceed south along Mt Rushmore Rd. Continue walking for about half a mile until you reach the junction with Badger Clark Rd. Turn right onto Badger Clark Rd. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 miles. The Badger Hole Historical Site will be on your left at 25151 Badger Clark Rd. Look for signage indicating the site.

If you have a bike, start at the Custer County Courthouse at 420 Mt Rushmore Rd, Custer, SD. Head south on Mt Rushmore Rd and continue for about 0.7 miles. When you reach the intersection with Badger Clark Rd, turn right. Follow Badger Clark Rd for about 1.5 miles. The Badger Hole Historical Site will be on your left at 25151 Badger Clark Rd. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
