Car
To drive from Mount Rushmore National Memorial to Badlands National Park, start by getting onto SD-244 E from the Mount Rushmore parking area. Follow SD-244 E for about 3 miles until you reach US-16. Merge onto US-16 E and continue for approximately 12 miles. Take the exit onto I-90 E toward Sioux Falls and continue for about 25 miles. Take exit 131 for SD-34 W toward Wall. Follow SD-34 W for about 20 miles until you reach the entrance of Badlands National Park. Note that there is an entrance fee for the park, which is $30 per vehicle (valid for 7 days).

If using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from Mount Rushmore to Rapid City. The bus service is provided by the local transit authority and may take around 30 minutes. From Rapid City, you will need to take a shuttle service to Badlands National Park. The shuttle typically operates during the summer months and will take you directly to the park entrance.
