Car
If you are starting from the Ben Reifel Visitor Center, head west on SD-240 (Badlands Loop Road). Continue for about 8 miles until you reach the junction with Sage Creek Rim Road. Turn left onto Sage Creek Rim Road. Follow this road for approximately 7 miles, which will take you to the entrance of the Sage Creek Wilderness Area. Be aware that this road can be unpaved and may require a high-clearance vehicle, especially after rain.
