If you are already within the Mount Rushmore National Memorial area, you can simply walk to Sculptor's Studio. From the main visitor center, head towards the Presidential Trail, which is well-marked. Follow the trail for about 0.5 miles until you reach Sculptor's Studio. The path is paved and offers beautiful views along the way.
Car
If you are driving to Sculptor's Studio, start from the main parking area of Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Exit the parking lot and turn right onto SD-244. Continue on SD-244 for approximately 0.3 miles. Sculptor's Studio will be on your right-hand side. Parking is available near the studio, but be prepared for potential parking fees, which may vary depending on the season.
Public Transportation
While there is limited public transportation directly to Sculptor's Studio, you could take a shuttle service from nearby towns such as Keystone. If you are in Keystone, look for shuttle services that operate during peak tourist seasons. Once you arrive at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, follow the same walking directions to reach Sculptor's Studio.
Bicycling
For the more adventurous, biking is an option too. If you bring your own bike, you can ride along SD-244 from Keystone to Mount Rushmore. Once you arrive, lock your bike at the designated bike racks near the visitor center and follow the walking path to Sculptor's Studio.
