From Mount Rushmore, walk to the nearest bus stop at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial Visitor Center. Take the Black Hills Bus, which operates on a seasonal schedule. Board the bus heading towards Keystone. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Keystone stop. From there, walk along SD-40 in the direction of Rush Mountain Adventure Park, which is about a 15-minute walk. The park will be on your left at 13622 SD-40, Keystone, SD 57751.
Biking
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Mount Rushmore. Head west on SD-244 from the memorial, then turn onto SD-40 southbound. The ride is approximately 3.5 miles and takes about 20 minutes. Follow the road signs directing towards Keystone, and you will see Rush Mountain Adventure Park on your left at 13622 SD-40, Keystone, SD 57751.
Walking
For those who wish to walk, exit the Mount Rushmore National Memorial and follow the path that leads you back to SD-244. Turn left onto SD-244 and continue until you reach the intersection with SD-40. Turn right onto SD-40 and walk for about 1.5 miles. Rush Mountain Adventure Park will be on your left at 13622 SD-40, Keystone, SD 57751. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.
