Yeonhwaji: A Serene Escape in Jeju

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Aewol, head towards the coast along the main road (Aewol-ro). Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Haga-ro. You will pass by several local shops and cafés along the way. Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto Haga-ro and continue walking straight for another 1 kilometer. Look for the signs directing you towards Yeonhwaji. After you pass a few residential buildings, you'll find Yeonhwaji on your right at the address 1558-1 Haga-ri, Aewol-eup. The area features beautiful coastal views, making the walk enjoyable.

• Public Bus

  Begin your journey at the nearest bus stop in Aewol. Take Bus 100 or Bus 200, which both operate frequently (approximately every 30 minutes). The fare is around 1,200 KRW. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the Haga-ri bus stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Yeonhwaji. Head southwest on Haga-ro, and you will see the signs for Yeonhwaji after a few blocks. This is a convenient option if you want to avoid walking long distances.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer cycling, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Aewol. The rental fee typically ranges from 5,000 to 10,000 KRW per day. Once you have your bike, ride along the coastal route. Take Aewol-ro towards the coast and follow it until you reach Haga-ro. Turn left onto Haga-ro and continue pedaling for approximately 1 kilometer to reach Yeonhwaji. This option allows you to enjoy the scenic beauty of the coastline at your own pace.
