If you are near a subway station, take Line 1 (the blue line) and head towards the Dongdaemun station. Once at Dongdaemun Station, take Exit 1. After exiting, walk straight for about 200 meters until you reach the intersection. Heunginjimun Gate (Dongdaemun) will be visible on your right.

You can catch a bus that goes to Heunginjimun Gate from various locations in Seoul. Look for buses that have stops at 'Dongdaemun' or 'Heunginjimun'. After boarding the bus, stay alert for the stop named 'Heunginjimun' or 'Dongdaemun' (it is a prominent stop). Once you get off, the gate should be just a short walk away, approximately 5 minutes on foot.

If you are already in the vicinity of Jongno or Dongdaemun, you can simply walk to Heunginjimun Gate. From Jongno, head east along Jong-ro Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer. The gate is located at 288 Jong-ro, on your left side. Keep an eye out for the iconic structure as you approach.
