Subway
If you are near Seoul Station, take Line 4 (the light blue line) towards Danggogae. Get off at the Hongik University Station (Hongdae Station) which is about 4 stops away. Once you exit the station, use Exit 9. After exiting, walk straight for about 200 meters until you reach the intersection. Turn left onto Seogyo-dong and continue walking for another 300 meters until you see Hongdae Street on your right.

If you are near City Hall, look for bus stops that serve routes 7011 or 7212. Board the bus and inform the driver you want to go to Hongdae. The bus will take you directly to the Hongdae area. Get off at the 'Hongik Univ.' stop and walk straight for approximately 5 minutes towards Seogyo-dong. You will find Hongdae Street along the way.

Taxi
To reach Hongdae Street by taxi, simply hail a taxi and tell the driver '홍대거리' (Hongdae Street). If you are unsure how to pronounce it, you can also show them the address: 347-20 Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The taxi driver will take you directly to the location. The ride should take around 15-30 minutes depending on traffic.

If you are staying nearby in the Mapo-gu area, you can walk to Hongdae Street. Start at your accommodation and head towards Seogyo-dong. Walk straight until you reach the intersection, then turn left and continue walking for about 300 meters. You will see Hongdae Street on your right.
