To reach Deoksugung Palace by train, first make your way to Gwangju Station (광주역) in the Honam Region. Take the KTX (Korea Train Express) to Seoul Station (서울역). The journey takes approximately 1 hour and costs around 30,000 KRW. Upon arriving at Seoul Station, transfer to Line 1 of the Seoul Metro and get off at City Hall Station (시청역). Exit the station via Exit 2, and you will see Deoksugung Palace directly ahead. The total travel time from Gwangju to the palace is about 1.5 hours.
