Getting There

  • Subway

    Start your journey by taking Line 3 (the Orange Line) at any subway station in Seoul. If you're near Seoul Station, take Line 4 to transfer to Line 3. Head towards the 'Gyeongbokgung' station. Once you arrive at 'Gyeongbokgung' station, take Exit 5. After exiting, walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will see Gyeongbokgung Palace on your left. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of the palace.

    After visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace, exit the palace grounds and turn left. Walk along the main road, and take your first right onto Tongui-dong street. Continue walking for about 5 minutes. The Korean Traditional House (HANOK) will be located at 7-6 Tongui-dong, Jongno District, Seoul, on your right. Look for a traditional structure that stands out from the modern buildings.

    From Gyeongbokgung Palace, you can also take bus number 7022. Head to the bus stop located outside the palace. Board the bus and ride for about 2 stops. Get off at 'Tongui-dong' stop. From there, walk straight for about 3 minutes, and you will find the Korean Traditional House (HANOK) at 7-6 Tongui-dong, Jongno District, Seoul, on your right.
