Getting There

  • Subway

    If you are starting from Seoul Station, take Line 1 (the blue line) towards Dongmyo Station. At Dongmyo Station, transfer to Line 6 (the brown line) and head towards Hanganjin Station. Get off at Hanganjin Station and exit through Exit 1. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Seokguram. Head straight on the main road until you reach Ogin-dong, then turn left and continue until you see the temple.

  • Bus

    From Gwanghwamun Square, take bus number 172 or 272. Ride the bus for approximately 20 minutes and get off at the 'Ogin-dong' stop. After getting off, walk straight for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Seokguram, which will be on your right.

  • Walking

    If you are near Changdeokgung Palace, you can walk to Seokguram. From the palace, head east towards the main road and turn left. Walk straight for about 20 minutes until you reach Ogin-dong. Once you reach Ogin-dong, you will see the entrance to Seokguram on your left.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer using a taxi, simply ask the driver to take you to Ogin-dong, Jongno District. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to show the driver the name 'Seokguram' written in Hangul (석굴암) to ensure they understand your destination.
