Experience Mumudae Observatory

Getting There

  • Subway

    Start by taking Line 3 (the Orange Line) from any station in Seoul. If you're near a Line 3 station, head towards the direction of 'Daehwa'. Get off at 'Anguk Station' (안국역), which is the 3rd stop from 'Jongno 3-ga'. Use Exit 1. Once you exit, walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with 'Samcheong-dong'.

  • Walking

    From the intersection, turn left onto 'Samcheong-ro' (삼청로) and walk uphill for about 10 minutes. You will pass by a few cafes and shops. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to 'Mumudae Observatory'. Continue walking until you see a sign for 'Mumudae Observatory', which is located at '산3-13 Ogin-dong, Jongno District'.

  • Bus

    Alternatively, after exiting Anguk Station, you can take bus number 1020 or 109. The bus stop is located just outside the station. Get off at 'Mumudae' (무무대) stop, which is the closest stop to the observatory. From the bus stop, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the observatory's entrance.
