From Hongdae, head to Hongik University Station (홍대입구역). Take Line 2 (Green Line) towards Gangnam Station. After 5 stops, get off at Euljiro 4-ga Station (을지로4가역). Transfer to Line 3 (Orange Line) towards Daehwa Station. Travel 3 stops and get off at Anguk Station (안국역). Use Exit 2.

After exiting Anguk Station, turn left and walk straight on the main road. You will reach the intersection with the street name 'Gyedong-gil'. Continue walking along Gyedong-gil, following signs for Bukchon Hanok Village. It should take about 10-15 minutes on foot to reach the village, where you can start exploring.

Alternatively, from Hongdae, you can take Bus 272 from the bus stop at Hongik University. Ride the bus for about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Bukchon Hanok Village' (북촌한옥마을). From there, it's a short walk to the village entrance.
