If you're near a subway station, take Line 4 (the light blue line) and head towards the 'Myeong-dong' station. Once you arrive at Myeong-dong station (Exit 4), walk straight for about 10 minutes, passing through the bustling streets filled with shops and street food stalls. Keep an eye out for the tall buildings, and soon you will see the majestic Sungnyemun Gate on your left at the intersection of Sejong-daero.

Look for bus stops nearby and take bus number 402, 505, or 507. These buses stop close to Sungnyemun Gate. Get off at 'Sungnyemun' bus stop. Once you have disembarked, walk towards the large gate visible in front of you, which is about a 3-minute walk.

Walking
If you're already in the area of Myeong-dong or the City Hall, you can simply walk to Sungnyemun Gate. From City Hall, head south down Sejong-daero. It should take you about 10 minutes. As you approach the intersection, you will see the gate directly ahead.

Taxi
If you prefer a taxi, you can easily hail one on the street. Tell the driver 'Sungnyemun' or show them the address '40 Sejong-daero, Jung-gu, Seoul'. The taxi will drop you off right in front of the gate. This is a convenient option if you're carrying heavy bags or traveling with a group.
