Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are near Suwon Station, exit through the main gate and head straight towards the main road, Hwaseong-ro. Turn left and walk straight for about 20 minutes. You will pass many shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for directional signs pointing towards Hwaseong Fortress. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Gyeongsu-daero, then turn right. Hwaseomun Gate will be visible on your left after a short walk.

  • Public Bus

    From Suwon Station, head to the bus stop located outside the station. Look for Bus No. 13, 18, or 19, which will take you towards Hwaseong Fortress. Ride the bus for about 5-10 minutes, getting off at the Hwaseomun stop. After disembarking, walk straight for a couple of minutes, and you will find Hwaseomun Gate right in front of you.

  • Subway

    Take Line 1 of the Seoul Subway from any station towards Suwon Station. Once you arrive at Suwon Station, follow the walking directions provided above.
