Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Arenal Park from any location in Basque Country, you will need to navigate to Bilbao. Use the AP-68 or AP-8 highways depending on your starting point. Once you reach Bilbao, follow signs for the city center. Use the exit towards 'Centro' and continue onto Gran Vía, then take a left onto Calle de Bidebarrieta. Continue straight until you reach the park at Ibaiondo, 48005 Bilbao, Biscay. There is paid parking available nearby, so be prepared for parking fees which may vary.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  You can take a bus to Arenal Park from various locations in Basque Country. Look for the Bizkaibus service that connects towns to Bilbao. Once in Bilbao, get off at the stop 'Gran Vía 45'. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Arenal Park. Follow Gran Vía towards the river, cross the bridge, and continue straight until you see the park entrance at Ibaiondo. A single bus fare is typically around €1.50.

• Public Transportation - Metro

  If you are near a metro station, take the Metro Bilbao to the 'Abando' station. From Abando, exit the station and head towards the river. Walk along the riverbank until you reach Arenal Park, which is located at Ibaiondo, 48005 Bilbao, Biscay. The metro fare varies based on your starting station but is generally around €1.50 to €2.00.

• Walking

  If you are already in central Bilbao, you can easily walk to Arenal Park. From the Plaza Nueva, head east towards the river. Cross the bridge and follow the riverbanks. The park is located directly on the banks of the Nervión River at Ibaiondo, 48005 Bilbao, Biscay. It’s a pleasant walk that should take around 15-20 minutes.
