Getting There

• Walking

  If you are near the Bilbao Abando train station, exit the station and head south on Calle de Alberto Aguirre. Continue straight until you reach the Gran Vía, the main avenue of Bilbao. Turn left onto Gran Vía and walk until you reach Plaza de Moyúa. From there, take Calle de Iparragirre, which will lead you to the river. Cross the river on the Zubizuri Bridge. Once across, turn left onto Calle de Uribitarte. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Ribera, then turn right. Follow this street until you reach Plaza Nueva, located at K. Barria, 14.

• Metro

  Take the Bilbao Metro from any station. If you're near the Abando station, board the metro and head towards the Casco Viejo station on Line 1 (the green line). Once you arrive at Casco Viejo, exit the station and head south on Calle de Tendería. Continue walking until you reach Plaza Nueva, which will be on your left after you cross the street.

• Bus

  Look for buses that stop at Plaza Nueva. A good option is to take the bus line 50 or line 56, which both have stops near Plaza Nueva. Check the bus schedule at your nearest bus stop, and once you board, stay on until you reach the Plaza Nueva stop. From there, you can easily walk to the plaza.
