From Cazorla, take the A-319 road towards Úbeda. After approximately 30 km, merge onto the A-44 motorway towards Granada. Continue for about 15 km until you see the signs for Alcalá la Real. Take the exit toward Alcalá la Real and follow the signs for Castillo-Fortaleza de la Mota. The fortress is about 3 km from the exit, and you will find a parking area nearby. Please note that parking may incur a small fee.

From Cazorla, take a bus to Alcalá la Real. The bus departs from Cazorla’s main bus station. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arrival at Alcalá la Real, you can either walk to Fortaleza de la Mota, which is about a 30-minute walk uphill, or take a local taxi, which should cost around €10 to €15. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited on weekends.
