From the Anuradhapura Railway Station, exit the station and head east onto Anuradhapura - Dambulla Road (A9). Walk straight for about 1 km until you reach the junction with the Halpanu Ela Parallel Road. You will see a small bus station on your left. Turn left onto Halpanu Ela Parallel Road and continue walking for another 1.5 km. The Jethawanarama Monastery Complex will be on your right, indicated by a large sign and the impressive stupa in the complex.

If you have rented a bicycle in Anuradhapura, start from the city center and head towards the Anuradhapura - Dambulla Road (A9). Cycle east for about 1 km until you reach the junction with Halpanu Ela Parallel Road. Turn left onto Halpanu Ela Parallel Road and continue cycling for approximately 1.5 km. The Jethawanarama Monastery Complex will be on your right. Look for the notable stupa in the distance to guide you.
