Walking
From the Anuradhapura Railway Station, exit the station and turn right onto Anuradhapura Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with the 4th Lane. Turn left onto 4th Lane and walk for approximately 500 meters. You will see the main entrance to the sacred city area. Once inside, follow the signs towards the Ruwanwelisseya Stupa. Keep walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers, passing the stupa on your left. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the 2nd Lane. Turn right here, and after about 300 meters, you will find the Vaulted Vihara (Gedige) Image House on your left.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near the Anuradhapura Railway Station. From the station, head east on Anuradhapura Road for 1 kilometer, then take a left on 4th Lane. Cycle straight into the sacred city area and follow the same route as outlined for walking. The bike ride will take approximately 15 minutes. When you reach the Ruwanwelisseya Stupa, continue along the path until the junction with 2nd Lane, turn right, and the Vaulted Vihara will be on your left after about 300 meters.

Tuk-Tuk
You can hire a tuk-tuk from various points in Anuradhapura. Ask the driver to take you to the Vaulted Vihara (Gedige) Image House. A typical fare from the town center should cost around 300 to 500 LKR. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the tuk-tuk can drop you off right at the entrance.
