Getting There

Walking
From the center of Ella, start at the Ella Railway Station. Exit the station and turn left onto the main road, A23. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the crossroads at the Ella town center. Continue straight on the A23 road. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach a small sign pointing to Demodara on your right. Follow this road for another 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork; take the left path that leads towards Demodara. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers until you arrive in Demodara. Once in Demodara, look for the signs directing you to Diya Ella. The waterfall is located about 200 meters from the main road. Follow the narrow path that leads downhill, and after a short walk, you will arrive at Diya Ella.

Tuk-Tuk
If you're in Ella town, find a tuk-tuk stand near the Ella Railway Station or the main street. Negotiate a fare with the driver to take you to Diya Ella. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes. The driver will take you along the A23 road towards Demodara. Once you reach Demodara, ask the driver to drop you off near the entrance to Diya Ella. From there, you may have to walk a short distance downhill to reach the waterfall.
