Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Galle, head north on the A2 road. Continue for approximately 17 kilometers until you reach the town of Balapitiya. Look for signs indicating Mahaladuwa Junction. Turn left onto the road leading to Mahaladuwa Junction, and follow it for about 1 kilometer. You will find Madu Queen Boat Safari on your right, positioned along the riverbank. Please note that parking may be available nearby, but it is advisable to check in advance.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From Galle, take a bus heading toward Balapitiya. Buses frequently depart from the Galle Bus Stand and the journey should take around 30-40 minutes, costing approximately 50-100 LKR. Once you arrive at Balapitiya, disembark at the Balapitiya Bus Station. From there, you can either walk or take a tuk-tuk to Mahaladuwa Junction, which is about 2 kilometers away. A tuk-tuk ride should cost around 200-300 LKR.

• Taxi

  For a more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Galle District directly to Madu Queen Boat Safari. The ride should take around 30 minutes and may cost between 2000-3000 LKR, depending on your starting point. Ensure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

• Tuk-tuk

  If you're already in Balapitiya, you can easily catch a tuk-tuk to Madu Queen Boat Safari. Simply ask the driver to take you to Mahaladuwa Junction, which is about 2 kilometers away. The fare will generally be between 200-300 LKR. It’s a quick and fun way to navigate the area.
