Getting There

    If you are starting from Galle Fort, head towards the main gate of the fort, which is located on the northern side. Once you exit the fort, continue walking along the coast towards the southern tip. You will pass by several shops and cafes along the way. Keep the ocean on your left side and follow the pathway. After a 10-15 minute walk, you will reach the end of the fort wall where Flag Rock Bastion is located. Look for the prominent rock formation that marks the bastion.

    If you have rented a bicycle, start at the Galle Fort entrance on the northern side and cycle down towards the coast. Follow the coastline road, taking in the scenic views as you ride. Park your bicycle at the designated area nearby and walk the remaining short distance to the bastion.
