    If you are driving, head towards the entrance of Horton Plains National Park. After entering the park, follow the main road for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach a fork. Take the right fork onto Ranhawadigama Rd. Continue on this road for about 7 kilometers until you see the sign for Moon Plains on your left. There is a small parking area available near the entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Nuwara Eliya to Horton Plains. Buses leave from the main bus station in Nuwara Eliya regularly. After arriving at the Horton Plains bus stop, you can hire a tuk-tuk or walk to the entrance of the park, which is about 2 kilometers away. Once you reach the park entrance, follow the directions provided for cars above to reach Moon Plains.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    If you prefer a tuk-tuk, you can hire one from Nuwara Eliya to take you directly to Moon Plains. The ride will take about 30 minutes, and expect to pay around 1000-1500 LKR for the round trip. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand and agree on a pick-up time.
