If you are starting from the Jaffna Fort area, head northeast on Hospital Road. Continue straight until you reach the busy junction at Jaffna Central Bus Station. From there, take a left onto Kachcheri Road and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Jaffna - Point Pedro Road. Continue walking along this road, and you will see the sign for the Well of Jaffna Fort on your right after about 500 meters. The well is located within the fort premises, so you can enter the fort area to see it.

For a more enjoyable experience, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Jaffna. Start from the Jaffna town center and cycle towards the Jaffna Central Bus Station. Once you reach the station, turn left onto Kachcheri Road. Cycle straight until you arrive at the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Jaffna - Point Pedro Road. Continue cycling for about 500 meters, and you will find the Well of Jaffna Fort on your right. The well is located within the fort, so feel free to explore the area once you arrive.
