Getting There

  • Walking

    From Kandy city center, head towards the Kandy Lake. Walk alongside the lake until you reach the Kandy Museum located on the eastern end. From there, you can take the main road (Peradeniya Rd) towards Hantana. Continue walking straight for about 2 kilometers. You’ll pass several local shops and eateries. Look for signs pointing towards Hantana. When you reach the junction of Hantana Rd, turn left and continue for about 1 kilometer. The Ceylon Tea Museum will be on your right.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    You can easily find a tuk-tuk in Kandy city. Tell the driver you want to go to the Ceylon Tea Museum on Hantana Rd. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you along the main roads, passing through the town and up towards Hantana. Once you reach the museum, you can ask the driver to wait for you or arrange a pickup time.

  • Bus

    From the Kandy Bus Station, take a local bus heading towards Hantana. Make sure to ask the conductor if the bus goes to the Ceylon Tea Museum or get off at the Hantana junction. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you get off at the Hantana junction, it is about a 10-minute walk down Hantana Rd to reach the museum, which will be on your right.
