    Getting There

    Tuk-Tuk

    From Kandy city center, find a tuk-tuk stand, which are commonly located near major attractions like the Kandy Lake or the Temple of the Tooth. Inform the driver that you want to go to Hindagala Rajamaha Viharaya. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. The driver may take the B224 road, passing through a few local neighborhoods before reaching Hindagala. Once you arrive, the temple will be visible from the road.

    Public Bus

    Head to the Kandy bus station located near the city center. Look for buses heading towards Gampola or the 'Hindagala' route. Make sure to ask the conductor if they stop near Hindagala Rajamaha Viharaya. The bus ride should take about 30-40 minutes. Once you get off, walk back a short distance along the road, and the temple will be on your right side.

    If you are feeling adventurous and up for a walk, start from the Kandy city center and head towards the B224 road. Walk along the road heading north, passing through the residential areas.
