Tuk Tuk
From the Kandy city center, head to the main road (D. S. Senanayake Veediya). Look for a tuk tuk stand or flag one down on the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to Jodu Ella Water Falls in Bambarella, Knuckles Peak Rd, Gomara. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you along the main roads out of the city and into the countryside. Keep an eye out for the signposts towards Knuckles Mountain Range and tell the driver to drop you close to the entrance of the falls.
Public Bus
Start at the Kandy central bus station. Look for buses heading towards Panwila or any bus that mentions 'Knuckles' in its route. Board the bus and pay the fare (approximately 50 LKR). The journey will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Panwila bus stop, get off and ask locals for directions to Bambarella or Jodu Ella Water Falls. It's a short walk from the bus stop, but be prepared for some uphill walking.
