Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Matara, head east on the A2 road (Galle-Matara Road) for about 5 kilometers. Look for signs directing you toward Weligama. Take a left onto the Weligama - Telijjawila Road and continue for approximately 3 kilometers. The Sri Lanka Snake Farm will be on your left at Udukawa, just before reaching the town of Weligama. Parking is available on-site.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Matara, you can take a local bus heading to Weligama. Buses leave from the Matara main bus station regularly, and the fare is around 40 LKR. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Weligama, you can either walk or take a tuk-tuk to the Sri Lanka Snake Farm. If walking, head east on the Weligama - Telijjawila Road for about 2 kilometers. The farm will be on your left side. A tuk-tuk ride from Weligama to the farm should cost around 150 LKR.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Matara. Simply tell the driver you are going to the Sri Lanka Snake Farm in Udukawa. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes and should cost around 600-800 LKR, depending on your starting point. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting your journey.
