    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Nuwara Eliya, start at the Nuwara Eliya Post Office located at 10, Post Office Rd. Head south on Post Office Rd and take a right onto Bank Road. Continue along Bank Road until you reach the junction at the Grand Hotel. From there, take a left onto the A5 road. Follow the A5 road for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the Nanuoya railway station on your left. Continue past the station, and after about 300 meters, look for a sign pointing to the Ice Fall viewpoint on your right. Follow the path up; it will lead you to the viewpoint.

    Trekking

    For an adventurous trek, start from the Nuwara Eliya town center and head towards the Pedro Tea Estate. From the Pedro Tea Factory, take the trail that leads into the hills, following the signs for the Ice Fall viewpoint. The trek is about 3 kilometers and can be steep in places, but it offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to carry water and wear proper hiking shoes.

    You can take a local bus from the Nuwara Eliya main bus station to Nanuoya. Buses are frequent and the journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Get off at Nanuoya and ask locals for directions to Ice Fall viewpoint, which is a short walk from the bus stop. Follow the road signs, and you'll reach the viewpoint in about 15 minutes on foot.
