Walking
If you are starting from the center of Nuwara Eliya, head east on Hotel Road (also known as Nuwara Eliya Main Road). Continue walking along this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Lake Road. Follow Lake Road for approximately 500 meters, and you will see Lake Gregory on your right. The lake is well-marked, and you can enjoy the beautiful views as you approach.
Tuk-tuk
You can easily find a tuk-tuk in the main area of Nuwara Eliya. Inform the driver that you want to go to Lake Gregory. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you along Hospital Road, then turn onto Lake Road. Just relax and enjoy the scenery during the ride. The tuk-tuk will drop you off near the lake, where you can explore the area.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Nuwara Eliya. Start from the main square and head east on Hotel Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Lake Road and ride for another 500 meters. Lake Gregory will be on your right. Biking is a great way to see the surrounding scenery and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
