Getting There

Walking
Start from the center of Nuwara Eliya, specifically from the famous Post Office located at 2, Bank Road. From there, head east on Bank Road until you reach the intersection with the Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street and continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You'll pass by several shops and local eateries, so feel free to stop if you'd like to grab a snack or drink. Once you reach the roundabout, take the first exit onto the Nuwara Eliya - Kandy Road (A5). Continue walking along this road for about 2 kilometers; you'll notice the landscape starting to change as you get closer to the mountains. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Shanthipura. After reaching the Shanthipura area, look for a small dirt road leading uphill on your left. Follow this path, which will take you directly to the Nuwara Eliya Mountains view point. The walk is a bit steep but will be worth it for the breathtaking views.
