Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Nuwara Eliya, head towards the A5 main road. Walk along the road until you reach the intersection with the B99 road. Turn right onto the B99 road, which is also known as the Nuwara Eliya - Bandarawela Road. Continue walking along this road for about 3 kilometers. You will notice signs pointing to Pidurutalagala. Keep an eye out for the entrance to the Pidurutalagala nature reserve, which is accessible on foot.

  • Hiking

    Once you reach the entrance to the Pidurutalagala nature reserve, a hiking trail will lead you to the summit. The trail is well-marked, but be prepared for a steep ascent. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. As you ascend, you will enjoy beautiful views of Nuwara Eliya and the surrounding hills.
